In a e-mail to MSTV News staff this morning, Wolf Blitzer announced he is stepping down as anchor of "This Evening" in late August. In recent discussions with the network, Blitzer has decided to take on a new, important, role with the network - Chief Anchor.
As Chief Anchor, Wolf Blitzer will report for all divisions of the network on the biggest news stories and breaking news. Blitzer will play a key role in election night and the other important issues of the day.
Blitzer, has hand selected his heir, David Muir. Muir, current anchor of "The Debrief" will leave that role late next month to begin preparing for his debut on "This Evening" alongside Norah O'Donnell in September.
Luke Russert, who is departing "This Evening" this sumer in a shuffle will take over for Muir on "The Debrief".
With Blitzer at the helm of network news and Muir co-anchoring one of the biggest broadcasts, MSTV is setting themselves up for success in the years to come.

MSTV has picked up a last minute program for the fall, "Cooper & Curry", based on the popular late series "Hall & Holt", the new program will pair Anderson Cooper and Ann Curry for a late afternoon news & chat program.
While this program will be heavy on the news, both Cooper & Curry will have light moments with fun, guests, and surprises.
The program will be sandwiched between "Living the News" and "Press Briefing" airing weekdays at 3PM. "Press Briefing" moves from 3PM to 4PM leaving into an one hour version of "USP".

MSTV has announced that Mara Schiavocampo has stepped down as host of "Wired". After being added last year as a second co-host, Schiavocampo has made the decision to leave the show. Although not leaving the network, Schiavocampo's last show will be Sunday August 3rd. Jeff Rossen will return to hosting solo.
Schiavocampo has secured her first job post "Wired". Effective September 13th, Schiavocampo will fill in for Kate Bolduan on "The Reporter". Bolduan, host of the Friday/Saturday editions will be on maternity leave. Schiavocampo will co-host with Bill Weir.

MSTV is congratulating "This Morning:Weekend" anchor Jenna Wolfe who today announced she is expecting her second child with partner Stephanie Gosk. Wolfe is due in February, details on her maternity leave will be announced later this fall.

MSTV has announced their plans for coverage of President Obama's address to the nation tomorrow evening. Chief anchor Wolf Blitzer will lead the coverage at 9PM joined in studio by David Muir & Norah O'Donnell.
Ed Henry will join from the White House for coverage.

Sunday September 14th
MSTV is making a slew of changes to its weekend line-up and sooner than you may expect. As of October 4th, MSTV is debuting a whole new weekend schedule, largely in part due to anchor shuffles and ratings troubles.
"Early This Morning: Weekend" will air at 7AM on Saturdays & Sundays. Robin Meade will anchor with Dylan Dreyer pulling double duty on weekend mornings with weather. Robin Meade will leave her role as a substitute/reporter, a replacement has not yet been named.
"This Morning" moves from 7AM to 8AM and will continue to air for two hours leading right into "X-Country" on Saturday and "Pennsylvania Avenue" on Sunday.
Both "Washington Week" and "Wired" have been cancelled. Jeff Rossen and Mika Brezinski will find new roles within the network.
Steve Kornacki will host a new program, "The Steve Kornacki Show" during the 1:00 hour. "The Ifill Hour" moves to 2PM to make a block of smart political discussions.
The rest of the weekend line-up remains in tact.

Thursday September 18th
With last week's announcement that Robin Meade would be leaving her role as a substitute/reporter to anchor "Early This Morning: Weekend" MSTV has made a shuffle for all substitutes.
Cynthia McFadden leaves her post as Legal & Investigative Director, a role that will now be held by former "Wired" anchor Jeff Rossen. McFadden becomes a substitute anchor replacing Meade.
In the past, MSTV had six substitute anchors - at the start of this fall the network had four. In addition to adding McFadden to the substitute roster, the network has announced that both Don Lemon and Michaela Pereira have been promoted to substitute anchors.
Substitute anchors are called on as needed, when not anchoring, they are primarily reporters. Below is the list of network substitutes effective October 6th.

Thursday October 23rd
MSTV has released their election day coverage plans for the mid-term elections on November 4th.
MSTV News chief anchor Wolf Blitzer will anchor provide hourly updates at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. At 10pm, Blizter will co-anchor a one-hour election special with "This Evening" anchors David Muir and Norah O'Donnell.
Erica Hill and Dan Harris will have a special edition of "The Reporter" at 11:30.
Wolf Blitzer will return at 12:05 will another election special preempting "Way Too Late" for the evening.
Joining Blitzer, Muir, and O'Donnell will be; "USP" moderator Andrea Mitchell, political director George Stephanopoulos , chief analyst Gloria Borger, and chief Congressional correspondent Dana Bash.

Friday December 5th
"Pennsylvania Avenue" anchor and moderator Candy Crowley has announced she plans to leave the network. Crowley plans to continue her landmark career by starting a new chapter.
“It is with mixed emotions, that I wanted to let you know that Candy has let us know that she has made the decision to move on, so she can embark on the next chapter of her already prolific career.”
Crowley plans to leave at the end of the year. Her last episode of "Pennsylvania Avenue" will air Sunday December 21st. The network will begin the process of finding a new host.

Monday December 8th
MSTV is proud to announce they have selected a new host for "Pennsylvania Avenue". George Stephanopoulos will move from his current role as political director/anchor to anchor of the weekly Sunday program. Stephanopoulos will begin his tenure as host on Sunday January 11th. The network is expected to make updates to the show in the transition including a new set.
Andrea Mitchell is set to take over Stephanopoulos's title as political director. Mitchell will continue to serve as host and moderator of "United States of Politics" in the interim.
