August 25th 2012 With the fall season of daytime programing just beginning, MSTV is looking at the possibility of a big change in the coming months. While just a rumor at this time, it is expected that Diane Sawyer will retire sometime this television season. Sawyer's retirement would leave a big gap at "This Morning" in the seat next to David Gregory. MSTV is preparing for the possible change by composing lists of possible hosts. The network wants to make sure they pick a co-host carefully and unlike last time where they rushed to a decision which they later regretted. Sawyer's retirement could take place at any of three expected times; end of the year (December), in the winter (February), end of the season (May). The network probably hosts she will stick around for the election and inauguration. If she leave in February, the network could sample new hosts until the summer when that co-host would become official and have the summer to practice.

September 7th 2012 On a Friday afternoon in the newsroom there are a lot of confused faces and rumblings about big changes coming. The possible changes would affect a wide array of shows and lay the groundwork for where the network wants to be in a few years.
The rumors begin with Martin Bashir giving up his weekend role on "This Evening" - no ideas of where he would go next have been mentioned.
If this rumors are true, "Hall & Holt" would be ending. It is expected that Lester Holt would replace Bashir as he is the heir to Blitzer's chair in the eventual future.
Tamron Hall's new role would apparently be at "This Morning" where she would replace Kate Snow. Snow would replace Mitchell at "This Evening" while Mitchell moves to a role in daytime essentially replacing "Hall & Holt"
These are wild rumors going through the network, it is believed they began when the network meet with both Hall & Holt together this afternoon.

September 14th 2012 It was announced yesterday that Martin Bashir is leaving the network, it seems he may not be the only one.
Diane Sawyer has reportedly spoke to top officials at the network letting them know her intention is to leave her post at "This Morning" sometime shortly after the January 20th inauguration ceremonies. Sawyer isn't expected to make her announcement until after the election, it is believed she would stick around for the first 100 days if Romney is elected.
Now let the rumors begin on a Sawyer replacement, if we had to place our bets it'd be one of these four; Amy Robach, Tamron Hall, Natalie Morales, or Hoda Kotb.

October 1st 2012 In a new series of rumors, MSTV is looking to make more changes than expected to "This Morning".
It was already rumored Diane Sawyer & Kate Snow are counting down until they both leave but the network might want to add - and not just a replacement.
The network is looking at business personality Rebecca Jarvis, possibly adding her in a permanent role as business anchor similar to Fred Roggin as sports anchor.
If rumors are true, Jarvis would likely mirror Roggin and only appear from 8:30 - 10:00 unless news warranted an earlier appearance.

October 9th 2012 The rumors of big changes coming to the network could be announced before we elect our next President. The network is in the final stages of planning big changes to the network.
Expected changes include: the cancelation of "This American Life", Andrea Mitchell leaving "This Evening" to be replaced by Kate Snow, Tamron Hall replacing Snow, Lester Holt becoming "This Evening: Weekend" anchor.
The said big changes do not mention Diane Sawyer, who is said to be debating a late winter retirement early next year.
The above changes will be released prior to the election and begin taking effect in the weeks following leading to official debuts in the new year.
