TVN ANNOUNCES FOURTH OF JULY PROGRAMMING TVN will be airing Fourth of July programming from Saturday, July 2nd until Monday, July 4th. With a mix of original programming and acquired movies, viewers will find that TVN is home to the best holiday programming. On Saturday, TVN will air the 1942 film, Yankee Doodle Dandy. The film won numerous Academy Awards for its cast, and is continually mentioned in AFI recognition lists. Yankee Doodle Dandy will run from 8pm until 10:30pm, with a new special, A Look at Patriotism Today, airing from 10:30pm to 11pm. On Sunday, a special Weekly Update will air at 7pm, leading into the 1972 Golden Globe nominated film, 1776. 1776 will air from 8pm to 11pm, with a mere 12 minutes of commercials. On Monday, the Fourth of July, the 1996 hit film, Independence Day will air from 8pm to 10:40pm. The 2 hour, 33 minute film will air with limited commercials. Following Independence Day, Weekly Update: Firework Celebration will air from 10:40pm to 11pm. Usual timeslot occupants, Aquaman and Do You Trust Me? will return the following week.
