In addition to the premiere of the reality series The Glamorous Life in early December, two new shows have been ordered to air this network season.
- The first of which will be a four-week, eight hour "mini-series" event show with the possibility of becoming a weekly series should it do well.
The sci-fi series, which was in part ordered because of the success of Paranormal Activities, is tentatively titled "PATIENT ZERO". The series begins with ordinary people from a small town being transformed into zombies. Unbeknown to the government, the country is being hijacked by terrorists and they were testing their new bio-weapon on a small town to see how it would work...and it worked even better than they thought it would. As the government becomes aware of what has occurred at that the country is under attack, a Baltimore detective is recruited to lead a new taskforce created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security couldn't handle. As zombies are scattering to neighboring towns and major cities, could the government be able to stop them from attacking others? With the bio-weapon still leaking, more people are still at risk of being transformed into zombies. With a national epidemic happening, what will happen next? Who are these hijackers and will the new taskforce be able to stop them? At the end of each episode, more answers than questions will be revealed, keeping every viewer watching wondering what is going to happen next.
NTB will be premiering the show in early December on Sundays to take full advantage of the NFL over-run lead-ins.
- Finally, NTB will be premiering a show tentatively titled "BEHIND THE SCENES" sometime by the end of the season. The show will follow a fictional daytime talk show about all the fighting and backstabbing that happens behind the curtains. Whether it be celebrity guests that tick off the lady panel of hosts, the unfair way celebrities are rejected from appearing on the show, the political backstabbing and bias or the television network urging the ladies to start a new controversy to boost up the ratings for November sweeps, it is all here. If you've ever wanted to see what happens behind the scenes on "The View" or "The Talk," step right up, this is your chance to view this unique, controversial new series coming this year on NTB.
