Q: Of all the shows on the NTB schedule, why was Singing Superstar picked to get the post-Superbowl slot this year?
A: Singing Superstar was regularly getting 14-15 million viewers this past summer. When it first premiered on MX during the summer, it received 18-19 million viewers. With a little exposure after the Superbowl, this show can explode on Mondays and Tuesdays and be used as a platform to promote other shows. Not to mention using it as alternative programming to the comedies and dramas on all the other networks. By the way, what do you think of our innovative advertising for it and iNSIDE the Box?
Q: Speaking of SS, with it going to Tuesdays after the Superbowl, what will the future hold for Tuesday comedies?
A: We are still very dedicated to our critically-acclaimed Tuesday night comedies. 95.3 Live and the Hot Years will be finishing off their seasons early this year so SS will be able to take over the slot. But be rest assured that SS will be condensed to a half-hour show on Tuesdays and will launch a brand new comedy.
Q: What new comedy?
A: NTB will be launching the Steven Levitan comedy My Wife, Kids & Me on Tuesdays in mid-March.
Q: There are rumors online stating that NTB is burning off 95.3 Live and the Hot..
A: Let me be clear. The network is NOT burning off either of the shows. Both of them are some of the youngest skewing shows on our network. Let me put all rumors to the side and confirm that they are not being burned off and will be 100% back on the network next year.
Q: Any news on what NTB will be airing the weeks following the Superbowl against the Winter Olympics?
A: The week following the Superbowl will be all-new on our network. However, immediately following that week, many of our shows will be in encore mode because of the many numbers of episodes that were broadcaster earlier in the season. By airing second run programming against the Olympics, we also save episodes for later in the year. However, we aren't just going to lie down and let the Olympics steamroll us. We will still be very aggressive on Monday nights with all-new Singing Superstar and iNSIDE the Box. On Tuesdays we will also be offering Singing Superstar and it will be leading into Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed on its new night. Fridays will have The Con Test leading into the final episodes of Head of the Country and Saturdays will remain all-new with episodes of How Much is Too Much?, Double or Nothing and NTB Money Madness.
