"My Wife, Kids & Me" NTB has picked up a new comedy series from creater Steven Levitan ("Back to You," "Just Shoot Me!," "Fraiser") who will also directed the pilot of "My Wife, Kids & Me". The show stars a very dysfunctional modern American family with two kids whom are utmost failures at everything they do. Perhaps they get it from their recently unemployed bum of a father (Nick Zano) - who also narrates the series - who is more dedicated to building up his physique rather than going out and finding a job. His wife (Julie Bowen) is in between two jobs trying to support the family, but she finds that it is rather three jobs she has - the two she gets paid for and another dealing with the problems of her family. Their daughter (Amber Heard) is in a local community college trying to get an education, but the family is convinced that it is a lost cause as she is clearly all looks and not book smart by any means. Finally, of course, their socially awkward child played by Aaron Refvem. Both parents dread taking him out in public because of the in-the-moment family secrets that come out of his mouth rather innocently that both the parents try to cover up unsuccessfully. If that wasn't enough, the wife's mother lives across the street (Phyllis Somerville) and she always seems to pop in on her daughter's family at the wrong time... always.

It looks good. The game doesn't have very many family comedies that last.
Julie Bowen is on EBN though.

The title could be mistaken for the ABC comedy from a few years back, I did. And isnt Zano young to play a father or a daughter in college?
