Toronto - As the upfronts approach next week, the revived UPN has announced a brand new second logo for the network. UPN owner Pat Devine wanted the network have a logo that was made specifically for this network and would be similar to logos of the peak age of television back in the 70s and 80s. The new second logo will feature a plain drawn boy wearing a cap backwards who loves to watch TV specifically UPN which is why the word UPN is over his arm so he can watch it. The red in the logo signifies the soul and spirit of UPN in his reach. The logo includes a new slogan for the network this fall "This is the Place to Be" b/c we want our new viewers to make UPN the place to be. The first UPN logo will still be used and active but the second logo be featured more. The United Football League has announced its first logo also today. The first and brand new UFL logo will feature a space star shield with the initials of the league separated at the ends of the star shield. The F stands at the top b/c that's the sport. On the bottom the whole name of the league is spelled out in blue letters. UFL president Adam Steinbeck said, "The new logo is important to the identity of the league that represents integrity and uniting the game of football with our neighbors in the world." The UFL will release their schedule next week. Here's the official announcement of the league's television deal with UPN: networkgame2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nn&action=display&thread=4914
