Since the presidents lounge is more for tv, I think we should post ideas we have that we are unsure about to get feedback.
Here's an idea I have but im not sure. Be really honest, I want honest feeback. I was thinking maybe a live-action Atlantis film, not based off the animated atlantis film, but using that same legend of atlantis. I was thinking maybe having the film revolve around 2 explorer friends (or brothers) in the 1700's England who set out, along with a crew, to find thw famed lost empire that their father died looking for. It would be like a Pirates of the Caribbean feel, and probably be released next sumer. yes or no?

I have some random concepts, be honest because even I think one is pretty lame. Just some that popped into my heard, idk if they're that original or not. These aren't the plots yet, just some ramblings. I will eventually make these sound more like a film, like my other synopsis with characters etc:
Mistaken Love - A wild fan of a pop singer often leaves him myspace comments, when she finally gets a response and they start an online relationship she's excited. But what she doesn't know is that its the singer's manager/brother who has been responding to her posts. The manager convinces his brother/singer to go out with her, all while he's saying everything to do and continues to talk to her on myspace.
Untitled legal drama - A drama about a passionate liberal southern lawyer who takes on the case of a murdered latino boy and his mother who were illegal immigrants only to discover the legal complications of the case and the fact that the racist southern jurors don't want to hear it. The case eventually makes national news.
Instinct - A horror film about a woman who was tragically blinded and starts to believe she is being stalked.
Untitled - A couple in the middle of a divorce stop after one wins the lottery and the other wants to try to get some of the money. Rom-COM
I may also adapt Paint It Black and Widow of the South, possibly A Separate Piece. I am also working on a teen drama.

Instinct sounds like a good twist on a horror movie.
Mistake Love is not really the type of teen movie I would see but I think it would do well if you cast some of the up and coming disney stars.
The Rom Com one reminds me of What Happens in Vegas too much.
The Court Drama sounds like it could either be a really good Oscar film or an Ashley Judd thriller which would still probably do well at the box office but maybe not be as a acclaimed

I like this idea, but idk when I would release as my end of the year oscar slate is pretty full, so give me some honest feedback.
Untitled Musical:
After the death of Maximilian Donald (Patrick Wilson) the owner of England's most succesful and esteemed theater in the 1930's, Detective Erroll Wilson (See Bottom), a unethical former actor who views life like a great musical, is put on the case to solve England's biggest mystery. He is comptely caught off guard by the three main suspects: Maximilian's powerful, beautiful, and suspiciously kind wife Joyce (See Below), his mistress and the star of nearly all his plays is the diva Marilyn (See Below), his troubled sister Catherine (See Below) and Anna Maria the young poor stagehand who moved from America (See Below). The head of the theaters latest play (Jim Broadbent) is eager to get the case solved, putting strain on the police and especially Detective Erroll. Detective Erroll starts torrid and dangerous relationships with all the women, just as torrid and dangerous of Maximilian's relationships with them. A roaring rock musical about a detective whose biggest case turns into a love triangle.
Erroll Johnny Depp Robert Downey Jr. Gerard Butler Ewan McGregor
Joyce Uma Thurman Renee Zellweger Nicole Kidman
Marilyn Nicole Kidman Catherine Zeta-Jones
Catherine Helena Bonham Carter Minnie Driver
Anna Maria Rosario Dawson Scarlett Johanssen Amanda Seyfried Amy Adams

Maybe release it before Thanksgiving, I know its busy but maybe like 2 weeks before.
Erroll Ewan McGregor - He hasn't had many big roles recently and this could be an Oscar role for him.
Joyce Uma Thurman Renee Zellweger Either of them could work well, with Ewan I think Renee would be better.
Marilyn Catherine Zeta-Jones She would be better in this movie
Catherine Helena Bonham Carter Minnie Driver Either one really works
Anna Maria Rosario Dawson I want to see have an Oscar worthy performance

Here's a few ideas im very on the fence about, of course these are all shortened plots:
The Exiles –In a future world, in which diseases, brain activity and genetic variations can be tracked from a young age, so that people may be separated by social classes, a socially low man with very few rights (an “exile”) attempts to change his social rank. Futuristic Thriller – James McAvoy and Rachel Bilson
Soldier – A soldier is genetically modified to become the prototype for the future of war-fare, until he turns on his creators. Channing Tatum
Captives - The intelligent and charming daughter of a wealthy billionaire is kidnapped by a group of thieves hoping to hold her for ransom, yet are caught off guard when she seems more than willing to help them steal money from her fathers bank. Starring Colin Farrell, Natalie Portman, Chris Pine
