Primetime Television Ratings Metered Market Ratings Thursday 2/16/06
Starting with MSTV, "The Service" opened with a strong 9.1/13 in the overnights, 12.60 million viewers, and a 5.1/11 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Pros and Cons", which is growing nicely, with a 9.5/16 in the overnights, 13.70 million viewers, and a 5.8/15 in Adults 18-49. "Murder Book" closed out MSTV's night solidly with a 9.0/12 in the overnights, 12.32 million viewers and a 5.0/12 in Adults 18-49. MSTV definitly has something with its consistent and strong Thursday Night Block.
Next was The MX. A Special Thursday episode of reality series, "The Guy" earned a 6.8/11 in the overnights, 8.97 million viewers and a 4.0/10 in Adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. The show closes its season this Thursday. "Mark in Miami" continued to grow with a series-high 8.0/13 in the overnights, 10.95 million viewers, and a 5.2/15 in Adults 18-49. The show has grown a very strong niche against tough competition on Thursdays. Lead-out "Rex", meanwhile, didn't take full advantage of the lead-in as the Simon Rex sitcom took a 5.9/8 in the overnights, 8.50 million viewers, and a 3.8/11 in Adults 18-49 at 9:30 p.m. "The Firm: Trial By Jury" rounded out the night with a record-high 10.8/17 in the overnights, 14.03 million viewers, and a 5.7/15 in Adults 18-49.
EBN was next. The night started off with "Breaking Point", at a 7.0/12 in the overnights, 9.89 million viewers and a 4.5/11 in Adults 18-49, followed by "20 Years", at a series-high 7.1/12 in the overnights, 10.00 million viewers, and a 4.7/11 in Adults 18-49. "Military Murder" took a 7.9/14 in the overnights, 10.61 million viewers and a 4.8/10 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Criminals", Thursday's #1 Show, with a 10.7/17 in the overnights, 15.02 million viewers, and a 6.8/17 in Adults 18-49.
The XYZ opened with the growing "The Bird Cage", which took in a 5.1/8 in the overnights, 6.85 million viewers, and a 2.9/7 in Adults 18-49, up considerably from last week, followed by "Sylvester", at a 5.3/8 in the overnights, 7.07 million viewers, and a 3.0/8 in Adults 18-49. "One Small Step" then took a 5.7/8 in the overnights, 7.70 million viewers, and a 3.1/8 in Adults 18-49. "Blondy of My Dreams", however, sunk to a 5.6/8 in the overnights, 6.95 million viewers, and a 2.6/7 in Adults 18-49. "Emily Hudson" grew in overnights (6.1/9) and viewers (8.03 million), but in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5), it remains in mediocrity as it skews to older people.
Ben Whitman Television started off strong with a fresh "Prison", at a record-high 9.3/13 in the overnights, 13.20 million viewers, and a 6.2/17 in Adults 18-49. "Sons & Daughters" took advantage of the lead-in at 9:30 p.m. with a 7.5/11 in the overnights, 9.97 million viewers, and a 3.9/11 in Adults 18-49, up considerably from last week. If they keep it on a for more weeks on Thursdays, it should be able to crack 10 million! "I Had a Sex Change", however, might be seeing a pink slip soon with a 5.2/9 in the overnights, 6.70 million viewers, and a 2.8/7 in Adults 18-49.
Choice opened with "Back in the Day", at a 7.7/13 in the overnights, 11.12 million viewers and a 4.6/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Suburbia", at a 10.9/17 in the overnights, 15.43 million viewers, and a 6.6/17 in Adults 18-49. "The Force" surprisingly hit a record-high 9.2/13 in the overnights, 13.00 million viewers and a 5.5/14 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
TNQ opened with the 'Laugh till you Cry' Thursday, starting with "Henry", at a 6.8/10 in the overnights, 8.92 million viewers and a 2.7/7 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Addicted to You", at a 6.9/12 in the overnights, 9.02 million viewers, and a 3.4/9 in Adults 18-49. "Sixtysomething" scored a 7.0/10 in the overnights, 9.05 million viewers and a 2.2/6 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Mother May I", at a 5.9/10 in the overnights, 7.80 million viewers and a 3.0/7 in Adults 18-49. "Mallory's Malladies" took a strong 8.6/15 in the overnights, 10.57 million viewers and a 4.7/10 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
The V's highlight was considerable second week growth for 10 p.m. drama, "Agent Orange". The show took a 6.7/11 in the overnights, 8.87 million viewers and a 4.0/12 in Adults 18-49, up by nearly 2 million viewers from last week. Earlier in the evening, "Bloodletting" scored a 5.3/10 in the overnights, 7.05 millin viewers and a 3.1/9 in Adults 18-49, while "Syzygy" scored a 6.3/10 in the overnights, 8.60 million viewers and a 4.1/9 in Adults 18-49 at 9 p.m.

Starting with The MX, a fresh episode of "Unsolved Mysteries" opened with strong results in the overnights (6.3/11) and overnights (8.55 million), but mediocre demos in Adults 18-49 (2.1/5). The Season Finale of "The Guy" at 9 p.m. soared to a 7.6/12 in the overnights, 10.16 million viewers, and a 5.2/13 in Adults 18-49. "Paranormal Instinct" scored a record-high 7.3/12 in the overnights, 9.38 million viewers and a 4.4/12 in Adults 18-49.
Next up was MSTV. "Spy Game" opened with a time period-winning (and record-high) 8.3/13 in the overnights, 10.89 million viewers and a 4.3/11 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Quantico", at a 7.2/10 in the overnights, 10.02 million viewers, and a 4.1/11 in Adults 18-49. "Mr. and Mrs. Doe" took a 6.6/10 in the overnights, 8.93 million viewers and a 3.2/8 in Adults 18-49.
On TNQ, the "Star Search Results Show" opened with a strong 6.6/9 in the overnights, 8.60 million viewers and a 1.8/5 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Good Morning, Mr. Williams", at a 5.8/8 in the overnights, 7.35 million viewers and a 2.7/6 in Adults 18-49. "The Price is Right" continues to be a strong force in the overnights (6.2/10) and viewers (8.75 million) but not in Adults 18-49 (1.5/4). "Top of the Charts" is nowhere near the top with a 4.0/6 in the overnights, 5.40 million viewers and a 2.3/6 in Adults 18-49, although it did improve alot in the demo out of 'Star Search'.
On The V, "Sydney" opened with a 5.7/9 in the overnights, 7.33 million viewers and a 3.5/8 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Dublin", at a 5.5/8 in the overnights, 7.01 million viewers and a 2.7/7 in Adults 18-49. "Silicone" ended The V's night with a 5.3/9 in the overnights, 6.88 million viewers and a 2.2/6 in Adults 18-49.
On EBN, "The American Actor" debuted with impressive ratings with a 8.6/12 in the overnights, 11.22 million viewers, and a 3.7/8 in Adults 18-49. The EBN Original Movie, "Ms. Kelsin", averaged a 6.9/10 in the overnights, 9.67 million viewers, and a 2.5/7 in Adults 18-49. Maybe EBN should make more original movies.
Over on The XYZ, "The Pulse" continues to climb in the ratings to a 4.5/7 in the overnights, 6.19 million viewers, and a 2.4/6 in Adults 18-49. "UFC: Primetime" averaged a 4.7/7 in the overnights, 5.87 million viewers and a 2.6/7 in Adults 18-49 from 8-9pm, while the final half-hour of "UFC: Primetime" (overnight: 5.2/9; viewers: 6.60 million; A18-49: 2.9/7 from 9-9:30pm) lead into a repeat of "Blondy of My Dreams", at a 2.9/5 in the overnights, 4.20 million viewers, and a 1.6/4 in Adults 18-49, which is a huge improvement over Da Ali G Show.
On Choice, "The Cove" opened with a 6.8/10 in the overnights, 8.00 million viewers and a 3.2/7 in Adults 18-49, followed by "The Alaskan Adventure", at a record-high 8.5/12 in the overnights, 11.02 million viewers, and a 5.0/12 in Adults 18-49. "Love is a Drug: The Series" took a 5.4/8 in the overnights, 7.57 million viewers, and a 3.6/7 in Adults 18-49.
Last But Not Least was Ben Whitman Television. "The Madagascar Penguins" scored a 5.6/11 in the overnights, 6.92 million viewers and a 3.5/10 in Adults 18-49. "Fire Me Please" then took a 6.6/12 in the overnights, 8.39 million viewers, and a 3.6/11 in Adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. "Breaking News" took a 5.2/10 in the overnights, 7.72 million viewers and a 2.9/8 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m., followed by "Liberal 101", which continues to surprise, at a 5.5/11 in the overnights, 7.65 million viewers and a 3.9/10 in Adults 18-49, sending FOX's MadTV (overnight: 2.9/4; viewers: 3.9 million; A18-49: 2.4/7) to last place.

Starting with The MX, a half-hour "24 Hours" averaged a 7.6/12 in the overnights, 9.75 million viewers, and a 2.1/7 in Adults 18-49 from 7-7:30pm, followed by "The Girl", at a 7.7/12 in the overnights, 9.83 million viewers, and a 4.4/12 in Adults 18-49. The Season Finale of The Girl is next week. At 8:30 p.m., "Legal District" moved up to a 9.3/13 in the overnights, 12.44 million viewers, and a 5.4/13 in Adults 18-49, scoring series high ratings thanks to the first half not against EBN's steamroller, One Crime. At 9:30 p.m., the half-hour special, "The LVB Premiere Week Preview Special", turned in a hefty 6.9/10 in the overnights, 9.10 million viewers, and a 3.7/8 in Adults 18-49, giving viewers a chance to see whats to come at the new network. "Fearless: Miami" scored a 12.0/18 in the overnights, 16.36 million viewers, and a 7.3/17 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
Over on MSTV, the Network Television Premiere of "Wedding Crashers" turned in a 7.9/13 in the overnights, 10.10 million viewers, and a 4.8/14 in Adults 18-49. In its final hour, it hit 11.5 million viewers. At 10 p.m., a new "Westside" took a 7.9/14 in the overnights, 10.17 million viewers, and a 4.4/14 in Adults 18-49.
Ben Whitman perked up considerably on Sunday, starting with "I'm a Real Actress!", at a 6.9/11 in the overnights, 9.08 million viewers and a 4.0/10 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Meet Mister Mom", at a 6.1/10 in the overnights, 7.90 million viewers, and a 3.4/9 in Adults 18-49. "Welcome to the Neighborhood" took a 6.5/11 in the overnights, 8.55 million viewers and a 3.9/9 in Adults 18-49, while "Brat Camp" gave Ben Whitman a solid 6.8/11 in the overnights, 8.88 million viewers and a 4.0/9 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
EBN opened with "The Whole Family", which took a record-high 7.3/11 in the overnights, 9.60 million viewers, and a 4.1/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Conspiracies", at a 10.3/17 in the overnights, 13.87 million viewers, and a 5.7/14 in Adults 18-49. "One Crime" sent EBN over the edge with a 13.7/20 in the overnights, 19.00 million viewers, and a 8.0/19 in Adults 18-49. "The Daily Planet" scored a compatible 12.4/19 in the overnights, 17.20 million viewers, and a 7.6/18 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. EBN has finally found the successor to 'One Crime'.
Choice was up next. "Changed America" continues to surprise at 7 p.m. with a 7.5/12 in the overnights, 10.00 million viewers and a 4.2/11 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Shipwrecked", at a 12.7/18 in the overnights, 17.57 million viewers, and a 7.9/18 in Adults 18-49. "Rogue Agents" soared to a 10.2/17 in the overnights, 13.30 million viewers and a 6.1/16 in Adults 18-49, despite facing 'One Crime'. "Angels and Demons" took a typical 7.8/12 in the overnights, 9.90 million viewers and a 4.3/9 in Adults 18-49.
The V opened with comedies "Pudding" (overnight: 5.0/7; viewers: 6.64 million; A18-49: 2.5/7) and "Olive Oil" (overnight: 5.1/7; viewers: 6.70 million; A18-49: 2.6/7) at 8 p.m., followed by "The Next Great Cheerleader", at a 6.2/9 in the overnights, 8.02 million viewers and a 2.9/7 in Adults 18-49. "Reverie" turned in a 6.3/9 in the overnights, 7.78 million viewers and a 3.2/8 in Adults 18-49.
TNQ opened with "Behind the Headlines", at a 7.2/11 in the overnights, 8.33 million viewers and a 3.0/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Sangre Azul", at a 5.8/10 in the overnights, 7.89 million viewers and a 3.3/9 in Adults 18-49. Ever since the show started big, its ratings have fallen. At 9, everything turned around for TNQ with "The Oval Office", at a 8.6/15 in the overnights, 12.51 million viewers and a 4.7/11 in Adults 18-49. "Death Penalty" outgrew its lead-in to an 8.7/15 in the overnights, 12.60 million viewers, and a 5.0/12 in Adults 18-49.
Last but not least was The XYZ, with the "In Demand Movie", at a 6.2/9 in the overnights, 6.95 million viewers and a 2.7/7 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Southern Hospitality", at a 6.5/9 in the overnights, 8.10 million viewers, and a 3.5/9 in Adults 18-49 and "Nothing Personal", at a 6.5/11 in the overnights, 7.75 million viewers and a 3.2/9 in Adults 18-49. Starting with The LVB, the premiere of the newest network was a very good one. The two-hour launch of "Fast As You Can" averaged a solid 7.5/13 in the overnights, 10.03 million viewers and a 4.0/12 in Adults 18-49, followed by "The Inside", at a 6.0/10 in the overnights, 8.10 million viewers and a 3.5/10 in Adults 18-49, doing very well despite Crimestreet LA/Carver Law in the hour. Both shows grew in their second half-hours.
On The MX, The Catch/Fearless cross-over was a big hit. "The Catch" opened with a record-high 9.4/14 in the overnights, 13.02 million viewers and a 6.3/17 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Fearless", ending the cross-over, and hitting a huge 15.7/25 in the overnights, 24.20 million viewers and a 9.8/22 in Adults 18-49. "Crimestreet LA" hit a 13.3/20 in the overnights, 18.00 million viewers and a 7.8/21 in Adults 18-49.
Over on EBN, "Bewitched" scored a record-high 10.0/17 in the overnights, 13.93 million viewers, and a 5.7/15 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Working Space", at a 8.1/13 in the overnights, 10.36 million viewers and a 4.8/14 in Adults 18-49, which is taking advantage of the EBN lead-in. "Chris & Hallie" took a 7.3/12 in the overnights, 9.70 million viewers and a 4.3/12 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Wake up America", at a 6.9/10 in the overnights, 9.03 million viewers and a 4.0/9 in Adults 18-49. "Carver Law" continued to soar with a series-high 14.6/24 in the overnights, 21.40 million viewers and a 8.0/19 in Adults 18-49.
Over on The XYZ, "A Suburban Life" continues to grow with a 6.1/11 in the overnights, 7.71 million viewers and a 3.2/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Death Row", at a 6.8/10 in the overnights, 8.82 million viewers and a 3.4/9 in Adults 18-49. "The Infinity" took a 7.0/11 in the overnights, 9.44 million viewers and a 3.0/7 in Adults 18-49.
On MSTV, "The Real Pros and Cons" opened with a 6.6/9 in the overnights, 9.33 million viewers and a 3.3/8 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Grammercy Park", at a 8.2/12 in the overnights, 11.00 million viewers and a 4.8/11 in Adults 18-49. "Hailey's Comet" moved to another night with a solid 8.0/12 in the overnights, 10.92 million viewers and a 4.5/14 in Adults 18-49.
On The V, "The Portal" continues to do well with a 8.5/12 in the overnights, 10.65 million viewers and a 4.8/12 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Monica" (overnight: 7.1/10; viewers: 9.25 million; A18-49: 3.8/9) and the utter disaster "Taxi Ride" (overnight: 3.9/5; viewers: 4.92 million; A18-49: 1.6/5). "Congressmen" took a 7.4/12 in the overnights, 9.10 million viewers and a 3.6/9 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
Over on Ben Whitman Television, a 90-minute installment of "I'm a Rich Kid, Get Me Out of Here!" continues to do great with a 5.9/9 in the overnights, 9.62 million viewers, and a 5.8/15 in Adults 18-49, followed by "The Marquerrite Perrin Show" at a 6.1/9 in the overnights, 7.40 million viewers and a 3.3/8 in Adults 18-49 from 9:30-11pm.
Over on Choice Network, "The Mission" opened with a 7.6/15 in the overnights, 10.20 million viewers and a 4.4/14 in Adults 18-49, followed by "The Other World", at a 8.9/13 in the overnights, 12.00 million viewers and a 5.0/15 in Adults 18-49, followed by "NY General", at a 8.3/14 in the overnights, 11.11 million viewers and a 4.5/9 in Adults 18-49.
Last but not least, TNQ had its comedy line-up:
Oh Brother/8pm overnight: 5.3/8 viewers: 6.66 million A18-49: 2.9/7
Office Politics/8:30pm overnight: 6.4/9 viewers: 8.36 million A18-49: 3.7/9
Obviously, a new comedy might be needed at 8pm. "Active Duty" gave TNQ a 7.3/14 in the overnights, 9.65 million viewers and a 3.5/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Terrorists", at a 7.5/14 in the overnights, 9.79 million viewers, and a 3.7/9 in Adults 18-49.

Starting with The LVB Network, premiere week continued with another strong night. "Nobody's Watching" premiered to a strong 6.6/9 in the overnights, 8.52 million viewers and a 3.8/9 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Early Bird", at a strong 7.1/11 in the overnights, 9.32 million viewers, and a 4.4/12 in Adults 18-49. The Two-Hour premiere of "Triangle" went like this in the overnights by half-hours:
Triangle (8-8:30) - 6.8/10 Triangle (8:30-9) - 7.6/12 Triangle (9-9:30) - 8.4/12 Triangle (9:30-10) - 9.2/13
The show peaked at 9:30-10pm with 13 million viewers. Overall, the telecast averaged an 8.0/12 in the overnights, 11.17 million viewers, and a 5.3/15 in Adults 18-49, the strongest show yet on The LVB.
Over on The MX, its Tuesday got alot stronger starting with the debut of drama "Secrets of a Small Town", at a solid 8.6/13 in the overnights, 11.70 million viewers and a 5.1/13 in Adults 18-49, followed by new drama, "Drift", at a 7.9/13 in the overnights, 10.35 million viewers and a 4.2/13 in Adults 18-49. "The Firm" hit a 12.9/18 in the overnights, 18.03 million viewers and a 7.7/17 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
Next up was The XYZ. "Prep School" opened with a 4.9/7 in the overnights, 5.90 million viewers and a 2.1/7 in Adults 18-49, most likely hurt by LVB's Nobody's Watching. "Complex Heights" took the competition easier with a 5.6/8 in the overnights, 7.34 million viewers and a 2.9/7 in Adults 18-49. "The Big Easy" took a 6.1/9 in the overnights, 7.97 million viewers and a 3.3/7 in Adults 18-49 followed by "Unknown Stranger", at a 6.8/13 in the overnights, 8.92 million viewers and a 3.5/9 in Adults 18-49.
MSTV opened with "Laws of Chance", at a 9.3/13 in the overnights, 13.01 million viewers and a 5.7/14 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Soccer Moms", at a 13.0/19 in the overnights, 17.15 million viewers and a 7.1/19 in Adults 18-49. "Ugly Betty" premiered to a 8.7/12 in the overnights, 11.00 million viewers and a 4.6/9 in Adults 18-49.
Over on EBN, "Personal Assistance" took a 7.8/11 in the oernights, 9.72 million viewers and a 4.3/11 in Adults 18-49, followed by "America's Sweetheart" (overnight: 7.0/10; viewers: 9.95 million; A18-49: 3.9/9) and the debut of "Rock My World" (overnight: 6.3/9; viewers: 8.24 million; A18-49: 3.7/9). "Soldier's Family" took a 9.0/13 in the overnights, 11.90 million viewers and a 4.1/9 in Adults 18-49 at 10 p.m.
On TNQ, "False Start" remains Tuesday's weak link with a 5.4/8 in the overnights, 6.87 million viewers and a 2.7/8 in Adults 18-49, followed by big hit, "Big Momma", at a 7.5/10 in the overnights, 9.82 million viewers and a 4.5/12 in Adults 18-49. "Hip Hop Star" is finally gaining steam with a record-high 7.2/12 in the overnights, 9.40 million viewers and a 4.7/12 in Adults 18-49. Choice opened with "Sirens", at a 6.7/9 in the overnights, 9.15 million viewers, and a 3.8/8 in Adults 18-49, followed by "The Lake District", at a 9.6/16 in the overnights, 13.40 million viewers, and a 6.3/16 in Adults 18-49. "War Games" then took a 7.6/11 in the overnights, 10.02 million viewers and a 4.5/11 in Adults 18-49.
Over on TNQ, "False Start" opened with a 5.5/10 in the overnights, 7.03 million viewers and a 2.7/7 in Adults 18-49, followed by "Big Momma", at a 7.4/12 in the overnights, 10.03 million viewers and a 4.8/11 in Adults 18-49.
